The collection of ceremonial silver ornaments at the Florence Synagogue is one of the most important collections in Italy, both in terms of the number of pieces and their age: through these objects, we can trace over three centuries of the city’s and the country’s history.

In this volume, two of the most prominent scholars on the international scene—Dora Liscia Bemporad and Davide Spagnoletto—present a comprehensive catalog of the vast collection of the Jewish Museum of Florence, based on a detailed study of archival documents, inscriptions, and hallmarks, and accompanied by an extensive collection of photographs.
