Banksy. Nascita di un mito

Banky has been on the scene since the 1970s and not unlike other modern-day street artists, he entrusts his thoughts to art.

But unlike other artists, he has never come out of the closet, except for sporadic forays into the world's most famous museums such as the Met in New York, the Louvre in Paris and the British Museum in London. So much so that his character has become a true Myth.

The exhibition Banksy Nascita di un Mito (Birth of a Myth) brings together about 100 silkscreen works by the British artist including the well-known Girl with Balloon, Love Is In the Air, Pulp Fiction, Monkey Queen and Bomb Love, reflecting the social function of art and its power of emotional communication in representing the world in all its different forms.

The catalogue, edited by Stefano Antonelli and Gianluca Marziani, the artist's leading experts, presents large-format colour images and is also enriched with works by authors close to Banksy.
