Premio Combat 2026 Prize

The prestigious COMBAT PRIZE, now in its 17th edition, is once again shining the spotlight on new artists who are set to make a name for themselves. This year, too, there are many artists in the running who are gathering at the renowned exhibition, a reflection of a world – artistic and beyond – that is constantly evolving.  Curator Paolo Batoni writes: “Art of true value does not simply agree with us: it forces us to question our certainties, our established knowledge, and even our very perspective.”

The Combat Prize reaffirms its status as a cultural platform capable of identifying and showcasing the most vibrant and unconventional contemporary artistic practices. Over time, it has established itself as an institution with continuity, credibility and impact, with the constant aim of supporting artistic exploration and fostering new dialogues between artists, the public and institutions. 

Among the categories in the competition, painting continues to be the artists’ preferred medium for communicating with the public; however, the exhibition – and this catalogue – also feature a range of artistic languages such as graphic art, photography, sculpture-installation and video performance.
