This new ""Quaderno del Museo di San Marco" and the exhibition and connected to it pay a fitting tribute to St. Antonino Pierozzi, one of the most important figures of the Dominican order in Florence in the 15th century, central to the history of the convent of San Marco, which has seen active over the centuries fundamental figures in Florentine cultural, religious, artistic, political and social history, including, in addition to Beato Angelico, Fra' Girolamo Savonarola and Giorgio La Pira.

The volume accounts for two important restorations: the one of Piero del Pollaiolo's painting on canvas of St. Antonino at the foot of the Crucifix and of the terracotta bust of St. Antonino recovered and exhibited at the Museum in the new layout of the cell of St. Antonino, further enriching the tour that, stage by stage (and the previous one was the cells dedicated to Savonarola), expands and offers visitors an increasingly complete experience.

The volume includes the essays by Alfredo Bellandi, Laura Pellegrini and Anna Soffici, and David Lucidi, as well as disaminations of the restorations conducted by Lisa Venerosi Pesciolini and Giulia Basilissi.
