Gianluca Codeghini. Noise-Derive

The catalogue is a poetic and reflective, richly illustrated presentation of the work of artist Gianluca Codeghini, which is exhibited in the heart of Siena, between Santa Maria della Scala and Palazzo Chigi Saracini, in collaboration with the Accademia Musicale Chigiana.

Codeghini's poetics explore noise as a revelatory form, a subtle element that questions reality and breaks inertia, prompting reflection without offering certainties. 

His works live in the balance between order and drift, understood not as bewilderment, but as creative possibility and openness to the unexpected.

In his artistic journey, sound, space and memory merge into an experience that involves the viewer in a direct and corporeal way. The video installation Piecemeal, produced with the Siena Cathedral Choir, is a symbol of this poetics: it does not perform, but becomes a living presence, between voice and silence.

The collaboration with the Accademia Chigiana is based on a common understanding: combining art, research and experimentation to preserve a living cultural identity, capable of speaking to the present and the future.
