Per la "Storia di Bologna"

Donating to a banking foundation is an act of generosity and trust in the institution, which guarantees the preservation and enjoyment of the good by the community.

In the case of cultural donations, such as works of art or historical documentation, these heritage assets do not remain private, but become part of collective history, accessible to all and thus preserving the memory of those who chose to donate them. The foundation also intervenes in restoration, promotes research and facilitates public exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, and publishes catalogues and digital resources to further disseminate the heritage.

The digital catalogue presented here follows on from the paper catalogues published in 2014, 2016 and 2018, with the aim of updating and disseminating knowledge of the documentary and figurative evidence of the history of Bologna and its territory. 

Since 2017, donations to the Carisbo Foundation have increased significantly and have been accompanied by substantial acquisitions.
