The Never Seen Before Series is directed by Antonio Natali, Director of the Uffizi Gallery

Exhibition catalogue, edited by Valentina Conticelli, Vincenzo Gobbo, Daniela Parenti

Language

A team of highly respected experts (Valentina Conticelli, Daniela Parenti and Vincenzo Gobbo) curated the exhibition of Russian icons coming from the Uffizi warehouse.

The volume follows the exhibition at the Sala delle Reali Poste (Hall of the Royal Posts), which collects over 80 pieces of Russian iconography from the 16th and 17th centuries, along with their technical description completed by highly qualified experts in this field. In their essays and critical descriptions, new connections have been established between the icons coming from the Florentine collections, and the more famous Russian ones.

The catalogue features several artworks from the Gabinetto delle Pitture Antiche of the Uffizi.
