Emozioni nascoste / Hidden emotions
Hidden Emotions is a new book, born from a new idea of approaching objects of art
Hidden Emotions is a new book, born from a new idea of approaching objects of art. The protagonists of the book are the exceptional pieces from the Oriental art collections at the Stibbert Museum in Florence, a unique collection for the number and quality of objects that are here presented in a new light, literally. In fact, the volume is a photo album of images captured, in the words of the author, "by the curious eye of ordinary visitors who, placing themselves before the work, grasp its essence and elaborate their own image that may be delicate, violent, tenderly poetic, or profoundly restless.
For this reason, the photos were taken with a digital camera, using natural lighting, and without the support of any kind of artificial lighting. A bit, we imagine, like the characteristic vision of the human eye should be."
What results is a collection of images of unexpected charm, extraordinary suggestion, and emotional impact.
