NIK E LE SUE AVVENTURE - Benvenuto a casa, Nik!

Eleven-year-old NIK comes from a family that could be described as 'a disaster', but his school is no better. In fact, the headteacher had the brilliant idea of hiring two world-famous painters, whose exorbitant fees have landed the school on the brink of financial ruin.

Against this apocalyptic backdrop, Nik and his friend Anita (the only one with a shred of common sense) decide to improvise by organising a momentous event to save the school from its grim fate. The result is a disaster of catastrophic proportions, yet so unique that it attracts enough media attention to raise the necessary funds. While his classmates enjoy the seaside, Nik spends the entire summer clearing up the mess to ensure the school reopens in September. Still, he is happy because he and Anita have discovered what it truly means to be a team.

We often worry about things that seem insignificant, even though, truth be told, nothing is ever truly insignificant. We all have our ups and downs, but Nik is different; he’s someone who is easily overwhelmed by difficulties. What do you think? Born in 2016, Nicholas Ori (Nicopuntoit) is a very young, multi-talented performer. He appears alongside Paolo Ruffini in theatre productions and stands out for his spontaneity in the show Il babysitter. He plays the role of the Little Prince in the eponymous stage play, bringing a rare depth and sensitivity to the part. Described as an old soul, he combines a passion for Puccini with the creativity of a budding singer-songwriter. His razor-sharp wit, refined vocabulary and gentle humour take the audience by surprise, demonstrating a wisdom and talent that are decidedly out of the ordinary.
