Additionally, the book contains specific notes on Mascagni's vocal technique and his notes on the interpretation, making it an invaluable handbook for opera singers worldwide.

Finally, a portrait of Mascagni through the most influential theatre directors in Italy, with whom Mascagni worked, until his American success at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.

The book features special interviews with artists including Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Danilo Rea, Daniel Barenboim.
