The connection between words and pictures has never been as close as with Futurist Art. To this day, we were missing systematic researches on the lexical aspect of the language in its manifestos. The volume consists of a more than sixty manifestos dating from 1909-1919, which is considered the most meaningful time frame in the development of Futurism's critical language and unique style; the corpus has been transcribed and indexed in line with the DBT program, to search through the volume smoothly.

The introduction by Paola Barocchi underlines the connection between word and picture, the choice of vocabulary and the figurative Futurist Art, in light of the findings of this precious research.
