Pippo Lionni's work takes the form of an uninterrupted chain of actions and a sequence of continuous transitions between different techniques and materials, striving towards new limits and new points of arrival, uncharted territories of research and experimentation. At every moment of this incessant activity, his permanent creative drive emerges, intolerant of constraints and impositions.
His anarchic soul always shines through, on every occasion. Proof of this is this very catalogue, which should be considered another phase of his work: it is not just a list of his latest works but, like the previous Jump. Pippo Lionni. 20230215 43°11° – published in 2023 –, marks a point of arrival as well as the restart of partially exhausted work phases, which are relaunched in a different direction, fanning the sparks left in the ashes of the previous phase.
