Paganini's stay in the City of Livorno

The research object of the book aimed to circumscribe, with the help of historical sources found in the archives and libraries of Livorno, the musical academies and the Paganini's presence in the City of Livorno. Therefore, an attempt was made to clarify a short part of the musician's biography since many of the publications produced so far report incorrect dates, news and suppositions of vicissitudes, without the support of historical documentation or bibliographic references.

The author Massimo Signorini has succeeded in giving a further contribution of historical truth, aimed at enhancing the unique relationship that was created between Paganini and Livorno, the city where the Genoese violinist, 'perhaps', received as a gift from Monsieur Livron the violin of his life, the "Cannone", signed by Guarneri "del Gesù".

Massimo Signorini is a nationally renowned accordion performer and teacher at the D. Cimarosa State Conservatory of Music in Avellino. In 2012 he recovered the name of the Accademia degli Avvalorati of Livorno, bringing it back to life in the form of an association with the aim of rediscovering and enhancing the musical and artistic traditions of the City of Livorno.
